(The first chief is Mustafa ATABAKAN ( 3 September 1990 – 27 March 1994 )

ÇOLAKLI won the right of being a town in 30 October 1989 with the Cabinet decision 89 / 36346. The first municipal polling was done 2 June 1990 as off year election. But that municipal polling was rejected because the number of votes were equal which were between Mustafa ATABAKAN who was the canditate of Motherland Party’s and Hasan Çoşkun who was the candidate of  True Path Party. This election was being renewed on  3 September 1990 and Mustafa ATABAKAN became the mayor who was the candidate of Motherland Party.

The Second Period: Hasan ÇOŞKUN became tha mayor when local election was being done on 27 March 1994.He was the candidate of True Path Party.The third period : Hasan ÇOŞKUN was being the mayor as thirdly from the True Path Party, on 18 April 1999. The fourth Period ; The elections renewed as thirdly, and again, Hasan ÇOŞKUN was being the mayor who is the candidate of  Justice and Development Party on 28 March 2004.
